The globalisation phenomenon has caused changes to both the private and public sectors, such that they are having to embrace a big picture philosophy, with resultant improvements in international image, competitiveness, cost effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism.
Ikhayelihle Cleaning Services was founded by Thoko Mdluli in 1998 as a Close Corporation (cc) and changed to a Private Company (Pty) Ltd in 2002. The business initially started in KwaZulu-Natal, and has since recognised the need to spread it's wings and footprint into other provinces.
Ikhayelihle has looked beyond traditional services and wisely positioned itself as an environmental management practitioner, so as to render a service that is holistic and in tune with global trends. The cleaning and gardening industries are not absolved from such changes.
Ikhayelihle is a 100% black female owned, managed, and controlled business enterprise. The owner who was previously a professional nurse, has worked in various industries, which guarantees that high standards of hygiene are achieved.
Thoko has assimilated a lot of knowledge, skills, big business culture, systems, and processes, from the formation of other business interest.
The need for exponential growth has necessitated a drive to open an office in Johannesburg, which is going to look after the needs and demands of Gauteng, Free State and Western Cape Provinces.
The Operations Executive is no stranger to the cleaning industry. He has worked for one of the top three cleaning corporations, and has a vast operational knowledge and experience in other industries as well. This will enable Ikhayelihle to increase it's footprint and improve it's business processes, efficiencies and achieve the growth potential that is demanded by the new millennium.
